Rachel Lavine
Rachel Lavine CEO

Rachel Lavine has served as CEO of Gazit-Globe since September 2015. Ms. Lavine has also served as Vice Chairman of Atrium European Real Estate (ATR) since December 2014 and as a member of its Board since August 2008. Ms. Lavine  currently serves on the Board of Directors of Citycon and  is also a member of the Board of the EPRA organization . Ms. Lavine previously served as  Chief Executive Officer of ATR from August 2008 until November 2014. Prior to that , she was President and CEO of Plaza Centres and President and CEO of Elscint Ltd. Ms. Lavine is a certified public accountant and earned a BA in business management from the College of Management and an Executive MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Tel Aviv University.

Adi Jemini
Adi Jemini CFO

Adi Jemini has been appointed as the Company's Chief Financial Officer, effective in the beginning of 2016. Mr. Jemini joined Gazit-Globe in 2013 and previously served as Chief of Staff to the Company’s Chairman, Mr. Chaim Katzman. Jemini has worked closely with the senior management teams of all of the Company's subsidiaries. He has also been involved in the M&A activity of the Group. Previously, Mr. Jemini served for almost three years as Regional Controller of Equity One Inc., the Company's U.S. subsidiary. In this position, he was responsible for the entire West Coast and South Florida regions, with direct supervisory authority over the finance accounting of more than 60 of Equity One’s shopping centers with an aggregated value of approximately $1.7 billion and generating an annual net operating income (NOI) in excess of $100 million.  

Prior to joining Gazit-Globe, Mr. Jemini served for seven years in a US affiliate of the global accounting firm Deloitte, in the audit and assurance practice where his last position was that of an Audit Manager for international companies active mainly in the real estate sector. Mr. Jemini holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Information Systems from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech),  graduating summa cum laude in 2003. He has been a Certified Public Accountant in the U.S. since 2005.

Liad Barzilai
Liad Barzilai Chief Investment Officer

Liad Barzilai was appointed Gazit-Globe’s Chief Investment Officer in November 2015. He first joined Gazit-Globe in 2006 and in 2008, he moved to Atrium where he served as VP of Business Development until 2011, Head of Acquisitions until 2015, and finally as Chief Investment Officer.  Mr Barzilai earned his B.A. in Business Economics and Management from the Ben-Gurion University and an MBA from the Recanati Business School at Tel-Aviv University. 

Liad Barzilai was appointed Gazit-Globe’s Chief Investment Officer in November 2015. Rami joined Gazit-Globe in July 2004 as Controller and since then he has been leading the controlling and reporting department, dealing with various challenging professional projects and processes.  From 2000 through 2004, Rami served as an auditor at Ernst & Young.  Rami holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from the College of Management in Tel-Aviv and is a certified public accountant.

Chaim Katzman
Chaim Katzman Chairman

Mr. Katzman is the founder, controlling shareholder and Chairman of Gazit-Globe (NYSE; TSX; TASE: GZT) . Mr. Katzman is also the Chairman of Norstar (formerly Gazit Inc.), the parent company of Gazit-Globe.  Mr. Katzman has served as Chairman of Gazit-Globe and Norstar, since 1998 and 1991, respectively.


In June 2010, Mr. Katzman was appointed Chairman of Citycon Oyj (OMX: CTY). Mr. Katzman also serves as Chairman of the Board of Equity One (NYSE: EQY), a leading U.S. Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) he founded in 1992.  He served as EQY Chairman & CEO from 1992 to 2006.  Mr. Katzman also serves as a director in First Capital Realty (TSX: FCR). In 2008, Mr. Katzman was named Chairman of Atrium European Real Estate (VSX and Euronext Amsterdam: ATRS).


A pioneer of the retail investment and development industry, Mr. Katzman is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts (NAREIT), the Real Estate Roundtable and the Association of Foreign Investors in Real Estate (AFIRE) and a trustee of the Urban Land Institute (ULI).

Arie Mientkavich Deputy Chairman

Mr. Arie Mientkavich is Active Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazit-Globe and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Gazit Globe Israel (Development); Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of IDB Holdings Corporation; Chairman of the Board of Directors of Elron Electronic Industries; Chairman of the Board of Directors of RDC - Rafael Development Corporation and member of the Boards of Directors of both Given Imaging and NuLens, of the IDB group.


In addition to these, Mr. Mientkavich also serves as a Member of the License Committee and Member of the Advisory Committee of the Bank of Israel (Israel's Central Bank) on Matters Concerning Banking and as Member of the Advisory Board of the National Defense College of Israel.


Prior to this, (1997- 2006) Mr. Mientkavich served as Active Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Israel Discount Bank and several of its major subsidiaries – Israel Discount Bank of  New York, Mercantile Discount Bank and Discount Management Provident Funds. During that period, he led the remarkable recovery program and the resulting successful privatization of the Bank.

In 1995 he was honored with the award of Knight of Quality Government by the Quality of Government Movement.


Mr. Mientkavich was born in 1942 and grew up and was educated in Jerusalem, where he now resides. He is married and the father of four children.


Mr. Mientkavich holds degrees in Law and Political Science from the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and was admitted to the Israeli Bar in 1972.


Mr. Mientkavich's native language is Hebrew and he is fluent in English and Polish.
